Can anyone help me with tips on writing a resume to be a teacher's assistant?

This is the first time that I really need to write a resume, so if anyone who reads this is a TA or teaches early childhood education please help. What key words should I use to make my resume standout? How can i make this sound better : Instrumental for a child who didnt speak english in the begining of the school year catch up with the rest of her classmate by end of school year. I know its too long, please help. If you've seen this question before its beause i accidently put it in the wrong category.
