This is the first time that I really need to write a resume, so if anyone who reads this is a TA or teaches early childhood education please help. What key words should I use to make my resume standout? How can i make this sound better : Instrumental for a child who didnt speak english in the begining of the school year catch up with the rest of her classmate by end of school year. I know its too long, please help.

How about:

"Indiviualized one-on-one work for a LEP (limited English proficient) child to master concepts and function at grade level by the end of the school year."
Try to begin all of the statements on your resume with action verbs so that all phrases are grammatically parallel.

Good luck! I taught high school for 30+ years, and English as a Second Language was one of my fields along with College-Prep English and German.

If you are familiar with Structured English Immersion (SEI) for ELL's (English Language Learners) then use these terms in the resume. Use the term "scaffold", meaning moved up in gradual steps until they mastered a particular level or objective, if you got the child up to par with the other english speakers. Look more into this because SEI involves helpful strategies for any student, but specifically ELL's.

I'm a teach, and I look for straight out honesty. So I would say that I have the best interests of the child in mind, and would welcome the opportunity to see the students succeed.
