Default What do I put into my thank you letter for a pre-interview?

I have been in the workforce for numerous years and now find myself having to do resumes, cover letters and thank you letters. I just attended a presentation for an airline and need to send them a thank you letter...I am unsure of what to write other than thank your for the opportunity of learning about....

Is it REQUIRED??? I have NEVER, in all my born days, heard of a PRE-interview thank you note!!! You say you NEED to send them a thank you letter? WHY? To thank them for letting you know about their airline?

I guess the best way to handle this is as if the "presentation" was a sort of interview... and say that you appreciated learning more about the company and its operations. That you enjoyed finding out about the opportunities they offer, and would be delighted to have the privilege of working with them (note WITH not FOR) soon.
