Default what are the major difference between MYSQL and ORACLE 9i ?

currently i am propose shift to work on MYSQL. The Oracle 10g features is applied on the MYSQL? Is it possible ? Please give me the suggestions.

the major difference is by default the mysql database engine (my_isam) doesn't support transaction, use the transaction-safe storage engine (such as InnoDB, or NDB Cluster) that support this features.
View, trigger, stored procedure is supported on MySQL 5.1.
One other major diffence: the SQL language that they use.
I think it can be done but not all 10 g features. You should consider postgreSQL, in my expirience it is more similar to Oracle than MySQL. oh yeah its free!

There are various features exist in oracle 9i, It is completely a object oriented system. Mysql is a open source and only few features were exist compare to oracle.

Creating procedures and Triggers .

I hope we cannot able to create (views) in Mysql also the cursor is not exist. It depends upon the table type (MyIsam,Isam).
