 Php mysql or xml? I am working for a company that is developing a intranet based facebook type of portal. My colleagues have suggested to going with php/mysql combo. However i believe that php/xml would be more appropriate as it is less resource intensive. Assuming that the portal is exactly similar to facebook, which one would you suggest. If you have any other suggestion, that is welcome too.
