Configurig Mysql with PHP 5.2.3 on apache in WinXP?

I have upgraded my PHP from 4.1.1 to 5.2.3 . I am running apache and mysql as database.

When i execute my php pages, i get the error "Call to undefined function mysql_pconnect()"

Php 5.2.3 says i do not need to configure mysql with it or load any dlls for it. Where i am going wrong...

Can you guide me...any help would be appreciated

First check have u uncommented mysql extension in php.ini file. Then run phpinfo to check whether it is working or not. And try ur code again.
