This is a stupid IQ test question. The answer: could be any number. The "genius" who asked you that would be expecting "3" for answer. But if you look up at

you'll find two sequences that sort of look like yours (they are NOT the same ones) where the next number is 6. But those sequences start with 4.
Keep in mind it could be anything, take for example a Lagrance polynomial where your polynomial takes for
for x equal to:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10...
y has the respective values:3,3,5,4,4,3,5,5,4,3...
you could have any number of polynomials that have those values in the first 10 points and could have any other value in the 11th...
