the differences between consecutive pairs of terms(a2-a1, a3-a2 etc ) aere:
1,3,5,7.
the next difference is 9, os the desired next number=19+9=28. ANS.

why

4-3=1
7-4=3
12-7=5
19-12=7
therefore
x-19=9
x=19+9
x=28

28, 39, 52, 65, ...

t0 = 3
t1 = t0 + 1 = 4
t2 = t1 + 3 = 7
t3 = t2 + 5 = 12
t4 = t3 + 7 = 19
t5 = t4 + 9 = 28

tn = 3 + (2n -1)

3+4 = 7
4+7+1 = 12
7+12 = 19
12+19+1 = 32
