Puzzled by my girlfriend, what do you think?

So I'm 30 and dating a 19 year old. She tells me that the age difference is nothing but a number and yet she pokes fun at how I'm so old quite often. What do you think?

She likes shooting sarcastic comments at each other with her friends and she keeps on saying how she loves to get "owned" and wanted me to do it too. I'm very quick but I don't want to flame her as all such jokes leave a sore afterwards. When I finally decided to own her good just to show her that I can, she complaints that our conversation is empty and going no where. How talking to each other like that is simply a time killer and that she's frustrated. I'm puzzled..... what do you think? Thanks

Many couples have significant age differences, but it works for them, because they love and respect each ..
However, your girlfriend sounds extremely immature,otherwise she wouldn't be passing these sarcastic and hurtful remarks, and showing off in front of her girlfriends, at your expense..
And what the heck is this wanting to be "owned" nonsense?
Next thing she'll want, is for you to pull her along the floor by her hair..That way she'll feel like you own her..lol ..
She's been watching too many Fred Flinstone cartoons..
This girl is not for you Hon..Try someone a little closer to your own age, either younger or older, but someone you can share a mutual respect with..

She sounds a bit imature, and she doesn't seem to really understand your feelings. Although age needn't be a problem for some, it can become a problem if one of the couple is much more emotionally mature than the other. I don't think she will even understand how undermining you in front of her friends is upsetting you, but if you tried to do it to her, she could quite possibly start crying. Good luck.

she is 19 and imature thats the problem she fells she can poke jokes and she wants it back and says she wants owned but don't...Its one of those things about girls...btw I am 19 as well but don't act like that........
