| a cylinder is placed with its central axis parallel to the ground.Water is filled into it.a whole is made at the bottom(please note its not at 1 of the parallel plates).If the change in height of the water level is given (height measured parallel to the 2 horizontal plates) how can i find the change in volume? please help its pretty important and urgent!!!!

| Let r be the radius of the end of the cylinder. The area of the end is then A = ?rē and if L is the length of the cylinder, then V = L*A. Let h be the height of the water in the cylinder and calculate s = h - r Then calculate the angle ? = arccos(s/r) Then the current volume v is v = (?/180)*V HTH ? Doug
