Can anyone solve this puzzle?

There is an open ground with a lone, tall tree in the middle. The tree is surrounded by dense forest. A monkey kid, chased by a tiger climbs the tree to escape from the tiger. But it finds a python hanging from the top of the tree. If the monkey climbs to the top, it will be eaten by the python. If it climbs down, it will be eaten by the tiger. There are no trees nearby. How will the monkey kid escape?
