If you feel your bluebird would benefit by being out there with the real deal, then I say go for it.
But, on the other hand, it may make him realize just how un-lifelike he really is. That may do some damage, I mean, what if the real bluebirds make fun of him? Are you going to be able to handle the cost for therapy? :P
