how did someone send me a fake alert from a credit card company?

no more than 2 hours of starting my online banking from one of my companies to i get a frauditlent email. how? i already called the company to reprt this. how does thsi happen?

Likely not linked to you starting your business, but could be.

This is someone who already has setup a fake site and an e-mail blaster. They either "guessed" your e-mail or they got it from a list. If your e-mail address is EVER posted anyone (e.g., on your company's web site), a robot will eventually find it and add it to a SPAM/phishing list.

I doubt the fraudulent email and the online banking are linked to each other.
