Default Why in our society do we blame the big bad company?

A person gets a really bad sandwich from Subway and immediately wants to sue the company. Law suits are expensive and its clear the issue was not the companies but an employee of that company. I could see it if the company bought a ton of bad food and made a corporate decision to sell it rather then trash it; but if the wrongful act was that of a $9 an hour employee why is the company at fault?

It's a trend? Everyone has to blame someone else, because no one person is at fault, right? A LOT of people want everything for free nowadays. Several years ago I had a friend who was on welfare, because she was lazy; her motto was "Why pay for something when I can get it for free?"

Corporations are like "Daddy", the kids want more and more til they resort to extreme measures. Hopefully the kids will grow up soon.

No one who gets a bad sandwich is going to sue anyone!

First, that is a contingency case, and lawyers don't take sure losers. That is a sure loser. In those cases their law firms eat the bill if they lose! That is unless they die from it!

What about if an Md took out your only good Kidney, or cut off the wrong leg? Think they should be allowed to sue? Proabably not!

The company is responsible for the hiring of qualified employees only. Thus, when the employee commit errors prejudicing the customers, the company is solidarily liable for the damage done to a customer.

Because a lady won millions by dumping hot coffee in her lap! It's like winning the lottery.
