Americans need big houses and cars to make room for their huge bulk and overinflated egos. Fish and chips are greasy yes, but I wouldn't say big macs, fries and coke were exactly healthy eating either, that is why most Americans are morbidly obese. For a start Britain is 4 countries, but i know you a probably referring to England.

By no means is England a poor country, London is one of the wealthiest and most up to date cities in the world. I will also assume you are from America, a country that has a higher GNP than England, primarily because there a many many more people.

Also i think you will find that when you look at the average persons earnings in comparison, England is higher, however in the land of blind an unbelieving the rich are by far the richest in America.

Before you look at other countries social problems, look at your own.
