Default How Maven Silicon is providing 100% Placement ?

Maven Silicon's primary objective is to help every electronics engineer to successfully build a career in the semiconductor/VLSI industries. At Maven Silicon, we arrange minimum two interviews for every candidate. Also we interact continuously with the students and arrange multiple interviews till they get job.

Our training methodology is unique. It helps our students to learn even the complex technologies in the short span of time and make them as experts.

    Maven Silicon's advantages:

70% of the course time is dedicated for the labs, mini projects and final project. Only 30% time is dedicated to impart the technologies.

    • Our trainers are the Industry experts with 10+ years of experience in VLSI. They share their experience with you.

    • In four months course, One month is completely dedicated for the coaching. We conduct multiple written tests and mock-up interviews and prepare the students for the interview. One should be able to understand the interview process, especially how to convince the interviewer to get the job.

    • Industry experts have designed the course based on the job opportunities in the industries. Our training courses help you to acquire the technical skills which are highly required to get the job in the semiconductor industries.

    Thumbs down 100 % placement

No training institute can give you guarantee to provide 100% placement not even IITs. so if any person want to be a good vlsi expert after BE dont join any vlsi training centre and waste your money and most important time, prepare GATE very well do mtech (VLSI or MicroE) atleast from any tier 1 or tier 2 universities .then no need to search any companies after training.

    Good Luck

Let me tell you first of all getting into VLSI domain is not possible with your mere BE degree from VTU. they look for IITians and other prestigious institutions.

being in large demand these institutes have started teaching VLSI for business. a total waste of money. they charge 78,000/- + 2000/-(caution deposit for labs). they tell 100% placement assistance.

now let me come to the course:

the course VLSI-RM is of 4 months.

1st module digital electronics( basics and they will not spend much time- 30 days)
2nd module static timing analysis (which they will teach in between for 4-5 classes, that too the classes are taken by previous passouts who are recruited for Maven itself )
3rd module VERILOG (they will teach the basics, which are taught good but they are not sufficient if you don't have any knowledge about verilog programming, and when it comes to labs you will get stuck for a silly problem for hours and hours)

Note: the teacher who will teach you in class will never come for labs, instead the lab attenders are interns ( who are recruited by Maven itself as intern for 6-8 months, and the frustration can be easily recognized from their faces, who will go on scolding as if you did a crime)

i am not against their serious attitude even it works sometimes but if you don't know anything about verilog then you even don't understand what they are asking to do and what's the logic.
in VTU , EC has some verilog programming labs but i bet most of you have just read it for passing the labs and don't have much idea but EE and CS don't have verilog programming at all.

in the meantime you will work on alarm clock project which they repeat for every batch. by this time you would have finished nearly 2 months.

4th module SYSTEM VERILOG here the show becomes interesting, first of all most students who come for VLSI are from EE or EC domain, who don't have knowledge about programming stuff especially CLASS, SUB CLASS, OBJECT, etc, etc.

now instead of starting from basics the teacher will go on teaching at her speed. the teacher is a lady who keeps on repeating the dialogue "THOSE WHO DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND, SO LISTEN CAREFULLY" AND SHE WILL NOT REPEAT THE SECOND TIME. EVEN THE SCENARIO IS SUCH THAT YOU PREVIOUS BATCH AND SOME ATTENDANTS AND LECTURERS KEEP ON ATTENDING AGAIN AND AGAIN TO CATCH HER EXPLANATION. THINK YOU WILL ATTEND FOR THE FIRST TIME HOW MUCH WILL YOU UNDERSTAND.

Friends i want to ask you one thing (talking about freshers) - Can anyone learn all those programming concepts in 2-3 days ? Ask your CS colleagues.

And the course SYSTEM VERILOG(verification) which MAVEN specializes in and charges such a huge amount is just for 5 days and for this they hire a tutor who will rush in for an hour or two to complete in 5 days.

LAB: then comes some labs on SV which runs for 15 days or so. in the meantime you will be giving some tests which are as per the modules taught and is good initiative.

by this time you will complete close to 3 months, it also includes some 1-2 classes on scripting language PERL.

PROJECT : now those who didn't get the basics will sure suffer in tests. this will hamper your final project selection.

they have 4 projects which they rotate batchwise which i should not discuss against institute's policy.
and they will put previous batches project files intentionally so that you can cheat and students think themselves as genius and try cheating the codes and in turn you never ask much questions about the logic and they get ample time to start another batch.

    then comes PLACEMENTS:

they give 100% placement assistance, i.e. if you get good marks in final test then you are only eligible to attend companies as an interview chance where last time all 20 students got rejected.
then they blame you for you performance and keep retest every 1 or 1.5 months which you have to appear till you get good marks.

in this time they conduct interviews for digital, verilog and SV and according to your performance they will keep good students in their company itself and give some salary. meanwhile they will arrange interview drives for them but then if you get selected, you have to work for the selected company under MAVEN's name, so they will take your salary and pay a percentage of it to you.

At last after completing the course you will get a certificate with GRADING

    O - 90% and above
    A - 80% to 89%
    B - 60% to 79%
    C - below 60%

and i got A but still its of no use. No company recognizes it, if you go off campus.

BUT THOSE WHO DID MTECH IN VLSI AND SEARCHING FOR SOME HANDS ON EXPERIENCE ON SYSTEM VERILOG MAY JOIN THE SHORT TERM BATCH VLSI-VM WHICH IS FAR BETTER AND COSTS LESS, AND THE ADVANTAGE IS THEY BLINDLY SUPPORT YOU AND GIVES YOU BETTER OPPORTUNITIES AS THEY THINK YOU ARE ALREADY EXPERIENCED AND KNOWS MORE THAN RM PEOPLE.

SINCE YOU HAVE GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF VERILOG YOU MAY NOT FIND DIFFICULT IN CATCHING THE CONCEPTS AND WILL UNDERSTAND SOMETHING IN SYSTEM VERILOG.

[[[[[[[[FRESHER'S DON'T GO INSTEAD STUDY FOR GATE AND GO FOR MTECH LATER YOU CAN COME MAVEN FOR SYSTEM VERILOG IF AT ALL NEEDED, WHY NOT SPEND 20,000/- ON GATE COACHING EVEN THAT IS ALSO NOT NECESSARY.]]]]]]]]]]

EVERY COACHING INSTITUTE IS SAME MAY BE SANDEEPANI OR SOMEONE ANYONE ELSE.

THINK WHAT IT WOULD BE IF EVERYONE GETS INTO GOOD COMPANIES AFTER DOING SUCH A COURSE , THERE WILL BE NO UNEMPLOYMENT AND THESE INSTITUTES WILL BE MORE THAN ENGINEERING COLLEGES.

WE INDIAN'S TRY FOR SHORTCUTS WHICH COST US A LOT AND DEGRADE THE VALUE OF MONEY. 80K IS NOT A SMALL AMOUNT. PRODUCT COMPANIES DON'T TAKE FRESHERS except from IITs, NITs AND BITs. EVEN IF THEY TAKE YOU , YOU ARE ABSORBED AS INTERNS WAIT WAIT WAIT......EVEN IF YOU DO GOOD IN YOUR INTERNSHIP STILL THEY WILL NEVER CONSIDER YOU FOR MAKING PERMANENT EMPLOYEE.

THIS POST IS JUST TO GUIDE FRESHERS, FOR MTECH PEOPLE YOU CAN GO FOR THESE BUT DON'T KNOW HOW IT IS FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW. YOU CAN DISCUSS IF YOU HAVE ANY OPINION

    IMPORTANT :

LET ME TELL YOU THEIR PLACEMEMT CRITERIA. YOU HAVE TO BE AMONG THE TOP 10% STUDENTS IN THE BATCH. IN EACH BATCH YOU WILL HAVE APPROX 30 - 40 STUDENTS. SO 10% COUNTS TO 3-4 STUDENTS. YOU HAVE TO BE AMONG 3-4 IN YOUR OWN BATCH ( PREVIOUS BATCH STUDENTS ALSO SIT FOR THE EXAM BUT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM, BUT THEY WILL BE WITH YOU IN THE PLACEMENT DRIVE COMPETING WITH YOU)

AND IN THIS 3-4 IF ALL ARE FRESHERS THEN ITS A FAIR GAME BUT IF YOU HAVE SOME MTECH OR EXPERINCED ONES IN THE BATCH THEN FOR SURE THEY WILL OCCUPY THE FIRST 3-4 POSITIONS, EVEN YOU CAN BUT THINK OF THE COMPETITION AND WHERE YOUR KNOWLEDGE STANDS IN THEM.

IT IS 100% PLACEMENT [[[ASSISTANCE]]] , NOT 100% PLACEMENT !!!
