## what is the pattern in this sequence of numbers. predict the next

number....0,3,8,15,24? hint: has to do with squaring

35; Although there is never a unique answer for any of these questions, this is the most obvious;

We have 0, 0+3 = 3, 0+3+5 = 8, 0+3+5+7 = 15, 0+3+5+7+9 = 24, 0+3+5+7+9+11 = 35.

We can also use the "squaring" hint to see we have
1^2-1 = 0, 2^2-1 = 3, 3^2-1 = 8, 4^2-1= 15, 5^2-1 = 24, 6^2-1 = 35.

This is much better as it gives the formula n^2-1 for the nth term.

we can also do it like this...
0
1*1+2=3
2*2+4=8
3*3+6=15
4*4+8=24
5*5+10=35

square of no starting from 1+the multiple of 2 in sequence.....
