Visual basic in excel?

I m very much interested in excel programing
i know some basics in C language and i got some excel programs where visual basic been used and i explored them
and with that little knowledge i have been using visual basic and macros for programming in excel in this but i dont have basics in visual basic generally i use these for creating userdefinedfunctions and dialog boxes
but i m unable to auto execute any dialog box at the beginning and
difficult in using any dialog box to their optimum in extracting the values fed
So Can any one please suggest me accordingly or any website from where i get get sufficient information
