 Train or Plane? Going to Los Angeles from NYC. The price is about the same (approx. $300 to $350) but I was wondering which I should take? I certainly don't mind taking long trips but I was wondering if it would be worth it?      |

| hmm...5-9 hours on a plane/in airports or 3 days on an Amtrack one way Unless you have a sleeper berth on the train, I would suggest flying. You'll spend essentially 6 days on the train, and sitting in a seat for that long is rough. |
