softball training and getting stronger?

my dad wants me to start getting stronger for softball- mainly hitting

ive been playing for four years and im ok with everything in the field but i was wondering if anyone had any tips on getting stronger mainly in the upper body for hitting.

my nfl travel team works and has practices through the winter and i hope to be much stronger before the spring/summer season?

any tips or excercises besides the 4 sets of 25 of each sit ups and push ups my dad recomends every night?

Try using a weight donut for your bat and swing normally for about ten reps and then with each hand for ten reps about three times a day. Try this for about a week and you will increase your bat speed which will lead to more power!!!!!
