 Need info on forgotten train station in IL. help? I live in Galt, IL. right out side Sterling, IL. I was told by a lady who is at least 85, my house was the old Galt train station. I do live 100ft. from the tracks. I have found out there was some kind of train building here, but I can't find out what kind of building? Where can I look for free info or pics. I'm guessing it would have served Northwestern, and the Sterling Steel & Wire company. Is there away I can contact Northwestern Trains and ask them?? PLEASE HELP?      |
