| Visual Basic is a good starting language. If you really want to apply your time productively I strongly suggest you learn Visual C++ next. In answer to your question a constant is an unchanging value. For example in E=MC2, C is a constant: the speed of light. or in X=5+Y, 5 is the constant or Total Tip = Meal Price X 15%, 15% is the constant. IF X=Peek(FFA6)/16 goto SUB 16 is the intrinsic constant. (FFA6 would also be a constant if it is looking at ROM. Quite likely not if it was looking at RAM)
