My dear, doing project means you are learning something.

So, go to college adminsitration, talk to a key person about the flow and process, meet several people doing job at admin then try to make a flow of process and convert it into code.

It would be better to buy a book first - I will recommend "Mastering Visual basic 6.0

you will have all the details their. what i mean is From scratch to advanced level. e.g. creating forms linking to database. writing modules code, using activex control like Treeview and Listview etc.
